Malaria No More UK wins PR Week UK's top campaign of April
We’re proud to announce that Malaria No More UK’s ‘Secret CEO’ World Malaria Day campaign is the official winner of PR Week UK’s top PR and communications campaigns of April!
With serious competition from big name brands including Snickers, Durex and Tinder, the World Malaria Day campaign – featuring an innovative short film produced pro-bono by Publicis LifeBrands – took 44% of the vote, beating the competition by almost 200 votes.
PR Week UK said, “With many worthy causes out there, charities need to find a new angles to make their message cut through. Malaria No More UK worked with agencies Publicis LifeBrands and Unfold Stories to bring to life the huge impact on global business of malaria, as outlined in a report by EY. This included a chilling film asking "Who is the secret CEO?" – which many people viewed without knowing that the answer was a mosquito.”
Celebrity backers of the campaign included Sir Richard Branson and Malaria No More UK Leadership Council member, Sir Andy Murray.
