You've raised your voice - now raise your glass
Stop what you’re doing and fill your glass! Today Fever-Tree Mixers launch their ‘Raise Your Glass’ campaign, calling on people to post snaps on social media of their ‘cheers’ to help bring an end to malaria.
Our amazing long-term partner Fever-Tree has been supporting Malaria No More UK for the last six years. Now, with your help, they’ll be donating £5 for every snap uploaded up to a maximum of £150,000 to support the malaria fight.
The origins of tonic water in mankind’s age-old fight against the planet’s deadliest disease go back to 19th Century India when British soldiers were plagued by malaria. Army officials turned to the cinchona tree – or “fever tree” – as the quinine in the bark was known locally for its anti-malarial properties. The daily dose of quinine dissolved in water was so hair-raisingly bitter, the soldiers added sugar – and so ‘tonic’ was born.
That’s why Fever-Tree is a perfect partner for Malaria No More UK. Together we are raising awareness and fuelling the fight against malaria. With enough commitment, we can all be a part of the generation that finally ends the treatable, preventable disease killing half a million people a year.
From 22 April until the end of May, Fever-Tree will donate £5 for every photo uploaded to Instagram or Twitter using the three steps below. Can you help us hit £150,000? Here’s how you can get involved – and it’s as easy as 1, 2, 3…
