New film shows how voices can change the world
We're thrilled to present Malaria Must Die latest short film for the next exciting phase of our ambitious global campaign against malaria!
The campaign’s call to action for people to join the world’s first voice petition has been bolstered with the exciting release of a brand new short film highlighting the power of the voice.
The film features British celebrities Hugh Laurie, Emeli Sande, Ncuti Gatwa, Noma Dumezweni and Peter Capaldi, alongside powerful clips of historical icons including Gandhi and Martin Luther King. It calls for urgent action by the public to join the world’s first malaria voice petition – originally launched by David Beckham in April – to rally strong public support for ending the disease within a generation.
The voices collected through the Malaria Must Die voice petition will be developed into a unique ‘sound sculpture’ and delivered to leaders at a critical conference this October in Lyon. Key decisions will be made on replenishing the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, the largest source of malaria funding, which is out to raise $14 billion to save millions more lives over its next funding cycle.
