His Majesty King Charles III becomes our Royal Patron

We are thrilled to announce that His Majesty King Charles III has become our Royal Patron, further solidifying his longstanding support for our mission to end malaria in a generation.

The King's commitment and leadership will undoubtedly amplify efforts to combat this devastating disease in the Commonwealth and across the globe.

As our President, in 2022 the King spoke at the Kigali Summit on Malaria and neglected tropical diseases which took place ahead of the 26th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Rwanda. At the Summit, he reiterated the value of sustaining our political will in reaching the collective goal to end malaria by 2030 telling the audience of Commonwealth leaders

It is encouraging to see that leaders of the Commonwealth will discuss and pledge their support for this campaign and are committed to work towards ending the epidemic of malaria by 2030. I very much welcome this determination and that we are not turning our back on a job unfinished.

The King understands the unparalleled resources and golden opportunity we now have available to fight malaria, including vaccines, next generation bed nets, and advanced  tools to track progress. In his Summit remarks, he added, “These are challenges that affect us all as one people living on one planet. Therefore, to solve them for present and future generations, we all have a responsibility to come together to accelerate action and the scaling of solutions.”

Together, we can drive the fight against malaria, ensuring a safer world and healthier future for generations to come.
