Cross-party support for UK leadership on malaria
Since 2000, UK aid and innovation have played a leading role in cutting malaria deaths by 62% globally, saving almost 7 million lives.
The UK’s leadership in tackling malaria - in partnership with endemic country governments, the private sector, academic institutions and NGOs, alongside pioneering R&D efforts - epitomises global Britain at its best. This is why there is such strong cross-party support for the UK Government’s efforts to help tackle the world’s oldest and deadliest disease.
New polling conduted by ComRes in October this year, reveals that 96% of MPs in Westminster believe it is right the UK plays its part leading the global fight to end malaria within a generation.
