Change the Story: The Path to Zero
The Change the Story campaign continues with The Path to Zero, shining a light on the children most affected by malaria whose voices often go unheard. The film brings to life their stories, urging leaders to take action before it’s too late.
Malaria is getting harder to fight. We are facing a perfect storm of challenges: extreme weather events, humanitarian crises, and growing resistance to insecticides and drugs. The pressure is rising, and there simply isn’t enough funding to fight back.
If we don’t act now, malaria cases – and deaths – will rise. Without increased investment, hundreds of thousands more children’s lives will be lost over the next five years.

But 2025 is our window of opportunity. We CAN get back on track.
Never before have we had such a powerful set of tools to fight malaria: from vaccines to next generation mosquito nets and new antimalarial drugs. Malaria scientists in Africa and across the world are working together to develop the game-changing innovations that will get rid of malaria once and for all.
We’re calling on global leaders to continue to support the Global Fund at its replenishment this year, a moment which will determine whether we continue making progress or fall further behind. Leaders of malaria-affected countries must also rise to the challenge by funding and strengthening local and national programs to fight malaria effectively.
Leaders need to listen to children’s stories and hear their experiences, because the decisions they make today will affect the lives of millions of children around the world.
It's time to change the story.
