Faiths Working Together

With 4 million people of faith in the world, interfaith work can have a powerful impact in the fight against malaria.

Malaria No More UK has been working with the Tony Blair Faith Foundation to recruit people of different faiths to support the fight against malaria.

Together with the Interfaith Youth Core, the Foundation runs a Faiths Act Programme which recruited ten Faiths Act Fellows in the UK – young people of different faiths working in pairs to raising funds and awareness to tackle malaria and other global issues.

During 2009 and 2010, eight of the Fellows raised funds and awareness for Malaria No More UK. By working with young people of different faiths in Birmingham, London, Leicester and Blackburn the Fellows raised almost £30,000 – and these funds were matched personally by Tony Blair!
