We are part of a ground-breaking collaboration of global, national and local partners working towards Ghana’s ambitious aim to make sure every home in the country is protected with life-saving mosquito nets by the end of 2012.

This partnership, led by the National Malaria Control Program (NMCP), has already distributed and hung over five million nets across five regions of Ghana, helping to protect up to 10 million people – that’s over 40% of the entire population.

Results so far are encouraging, with an evaluation six months after the first net distribution showing 98% of nets still in homes and an increase in net usage of over 360% amongst pregnant women and young children – some of those most vulnerable to malaria.

Watch this four minute film to find out more about the great range of partners we’re working with in Ghana and how, together, we’re getting nets out and hung where they are most needed, at home.
