Mozzy Air takes off today!1Comments
Mozzy Air is our exciting new awareness campaign launching in time for World Mosquito Day on 20 August and running for one month.
Mozzy Air is a fictitious airline that flies to over 100 malaria destinations. It is brought to life through an interactive infographic featuring a world map with flight paths to countries affected by malaria past and present and compelling real life stories on malaria. The infographic is designed to share and is easy to embed online so please help spread the word! Here’s the code to use to embed the infographic on your site:

You can also check yourself in to a flight via Twitter! Simply tweet about the campaign using #MozzyAir and help fill flights to fight malaria.
Mozzy Air highlights personal stories and facts from ten countries to inspire people across the UK and beyond to share their own story. British fashion brand and Malaria No More UK supporter Jack Wills have provided an incentive: those who share their story are entered into a draw to win a £50 Jack Wills voucher and Malaria No More bracelet – a unisex bracelet currently sold by Jack Wills that is handcrafted in Africa to help save lives from malaria. Four winners will be chosen throughout the month long campaign.
The stories on the infographic will be refreshed half way through the campaign and feature accounts from an eclectic mix of people from the worlds of music and entertainment, business, faith, politics, media and family life – click here to take a look now.
Arabella Gilchrist, our Communications Director says: “Personal stories are an important and compelling way of illustrating the needless human suffering caused by malaria and inspiring people to join the fight against this preventable and treatable disease. We hope that a wide cross section of people both here in the UK and in Africa will share their stories and help us inspire people to help make malaria no more.”
We’d like to say a huge thank you to a range of talented partners who have helped bring Mozzy Air to life including creative campaign creators Kindred, Jack Wills for kindly donating items for our prize draw to encourage people to share their stories, Visual Voice for their pro bono support to power the check in for Mozzy Air and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine for their expertise on anopheles mosquitoes. We are also grateful for a kind donation from mosquito net manufacturer Vestergaard Frandsen.
