Alice Dellal, model with Next models and musician in Thrush Metal has joined the campaign to promote Stephen Webster’s mosquito locket to help save lives in Africa.
Alice’s inimitable style, blending punk grunge with glamorous flair brings a new edge to the campaign which has so far featured a mix of inspiring faces in fashion and entertainment including Yasmin and Amber Le Bon, Olivia Palermo, Tess Daly and rising star Annabelle Wallis.
Alice was photographed by model turned fashion photographer Astrid Munoz wearing the limited edition mosquito locket on sale now in time for Christmas. The limited edition locket features a striking mosquito set with sparkling crystal wings perched upon a red enamel locket and is available exclusively on ASOS.com for £95, with 100% profits going to Malaria No More UK to help save lives in Africa. All content is hosted on mylocket.net.
Alice says: “It’s crazy people are still dying of malaria, a preventable disease. I like the charity’s simple goal which is to end deaths from malaria by 2015. This is my way of helping out. Let’s make it happen.”
Malaria is a preventable disease which affects half of the world’s population and claims 863,000 lives in Africa every year. Stephen Webster, Special Ambassador for Malaria No More UK said: “Making malaria no more is something that we can all support and this is my way of helping the cause. I decided to revamp the traditional locket and create a provocative and expressive talking piece. It’s something that will look good for a long time and I hope will be a source on joy for whoever wears it”.
