It has been announced that the “Celebrate Africa—The Grand Finale Concert” in Johannesburg on 9 July 2010 will be organised in support of United Against Malaria. The Concert aims to help generate further support and awareness in the fight against malaria. The Concert will feature the multi-award winning Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli and special guests including the celebrated Canadian singer/songwriter Bryan Adams, and South Africa’s own soprano sensation, Pretty Yende.
Malaria No More UK and Rockhopper TV have produced a seven minute film which shows how funds raised from the British Public are helping in the fight against malaria.

The advert sees the World’s No.4 ranked player on court and building up for a big serve but he is missing a vital ingredient – a net. Andy goes on to perform a series of rarely seen tricks while he waits for a net to highlight the need for nets as vital tools to stop the spread of malaria in Africa. Malaria No More UK was delighted to be the main recipient charity for the 2010 Crathes Vintage Car & Motorcycle Rally, organised by the Rotary club of Banchory-Ternan and sponsored by Sterling Resources.
