David Brabham, Special Ambassador

David Brabham was announced as a Special Ambassador for Malaria No More UK in October 2009. Special Ambassadors are exceptional individuals who use their professional talent or personal experiences in the fight to make malaria no more.

Brabham, winner of the 2009 Le Mans 24 Hours and champion of the 2009 American Le Mans Series, is a long time supporter in the fight against malaria. Brabham first got involved with Malaria No More with the Miles To End Malaria fundraising campaign and Malaria No More UK was one of the benefiting charities at 2010′s Celebrity Karting Challenge at the Autosport International at the NEC. In 2010 David Brabham raced in a car decorated with the Malaria No More logo at Le Mans.

“It is a privilege for me to be a Special Ambassador for Malaria No More UK. The scale of malaria is mind boggling; it kills 655,000 people every year, mainly young children in Africa and yet it is a preventable and treatable disease. As a racing driver, winning is my sole focus and all that I concentrate on – I apply the same resolution to ending malaria. It’s ambitious but achievable and we can all play our part in making malaria no more a reality.”
