Panamanian-American soul singer Aloe Blacc gave his support to our Music To Save Lives campaign. Aloe, whose hits include ’I Need A Dollar’, performed at V Festival on World Mosquito Day 2011 where a special version of our festival-themed ad was aired to raise funds and awareness to help save lives in Africa.
Aloe says: “Music is a powerful force for social change and inspires passion and action on hugely important issues like making malaria no more. My song I Need A Dollar is dedicated to all those who don’t have a voice or a dollar and the good news is, we’re in a position to do something to help. I’m excited about playing at V, I know it attracts a great crowd and hope they’re motivated by the ad and enthused to enter the competition and help save lives”.
